Even though we are an essential business we have made the decision to temporarily shut down our market. We have opened up an Online Shop where a different menu is posted every Wednesday. The deadline to order will be Monday’s at 3p. Porch Pick Up and Delivery options are posted on our new Online Shop. Click Here to go to our Online Shop.

Our staff and our customers are important to us. This is what we are doing as we monitor the Covid-19 situation as per The Public Health Agency of Canada

Social distancing

Together, we can slow the spread of COVID-19 by making a conscious effort to keep a physical distance between each other. Social distancing is proven to be one of the most effective ways to reduce the spread of illness during an outbreak.

  • avoiding crowded places and non-essential gatherings
  • avoiding common greetings, such as handshakes
  • limiting contact with people at higher risk like older adults and those in poor health
  • keeping a distance of at least 2 arms-length (approximately 2 metres) from others

Hygiene and sanitizers

Proper hygiene can help reduce the risk of infection or spreading infection to others:

  • wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after using the washroom and when preparing food
    • use alcohol-based hand sanitizers if soap and water are not available
  • when coughing or sneezing:
    • cough or sneeze into a tissue or the bend of your arm, not your hand
    • dispose of any tissues you have used as soon as possible in a lined waste basket and wash your hands afterwards
  • avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands

Hard surface disinfectants

Coronaviruses are enveloped viruses. This means they are one of the easiest types of viruses to kill. It is important to:

  • use the right disinfectant product
  • follow the directions on the label

Health Canada has published a list of hard surface disinfectants that are likely to be effective for use against coronavirus (COVID-19).

Although they do not claim to kill viruses such as COVID-19, cleaners can play a role in helping limit the transfer of microorganisms. For high-touch surfaces such as door handles, toys and phones, Health Canada recommends cleaning these often with either:

  • regular household cleaners or
  • diluted bleach (1 part bleach to 9 parts water)

We are cleaning all door handles, pin pads and hard surfaces every half hour with diluted bleach. We are wearing gloves. We have set up a table in front of our cash desk to increase social distancing.

We are doing everything we can to #flattenthecurve during this Global Pandemic. As we navigate our way through COVID-19 as a small business, our staff and community are of the utmost importance.
